So what did I do? I went to Wikipedia and searched for Panda names. Well, what do ya know? They actually had a listing! You can check them out here... I basically sent through the list and chose the ones I liked the best. I know, not very original yah?
So now you know how these critters got their names... But you may be asking yourself why am I featuring both pandas on the same introductory post? Well, for some reason.. I can't seem to make a project with just one of these guys! I always seem to end up adding the second panda to the mix.
Over the weekend, I taught a class at my LSS. The point of the class was to use the Sizzix Framelits die set designed by Stephanie Barnard. I love that set! Anyway one of the cards I made in class featured these two cuties... Meet Ling Ling and Po!
The papers used on the background is by Doodlebug Designs and the sentiment stamp is by Mama Elephant. I also used enamel dots and some prima flowers from my stash. Easy peasy. Below is a closer look at Ling Ling. I love how Ling Ling is on his back!
And here's a better look at Po. For some reason I get the feeling that Po is gonna get into trouble!
So now that you've met these two baby pandas... do you want a chance to win one of them? Let's see... we'll go with Ling Ling first... If you want a chance to win Ling Ling, here's all you gotta do:
1) Leave a comment on THIS POST by August 31, 2014 11:59pm HST; and
2) Tell me what name would you pick if you had to name a panda?
Good luck and stay tuned tomorrow for more fun!
Wow...they are sooo cute!!! Thanks for the chance to win Ling Ling!!
ReplyDeleteIf I had to name a panda I would name him Milo!!!
Hugs, Laila
AACK! So stinkin' cute! I LOVE pandas & just saw some at the San Diego Zoo last month.. ♥ I remembering seeing the name Mei Hua (beautiful flower) for a Panda somewhere I thought was cute & pretty!
ReplyDeleteCute, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteCute pandas! I will have to add these to my collection for sure! When I think of a Panda, the first name that comes to mind is always Ling Ling. I remember a panda by the name back in the 80s and the name always stuck in my head!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love these pandas. If I had to come up with a name I would say Amanda because that is my niece and we call her Manda Panda. And guess what? She loves pandas.
ReplyDeleteThese guy's are so cute!!! I've never been very good at naming pets/animals, so I'll stick with Po.
ReplyDeleteAs my daughter would say, these are "pandalicious!"
ReplyDeleteSo glad Ling Ling is up first. He's a cutie!
ReplyDeleteYay! More pandas! I have stuffed animal pandas and they're named, Panda, Po and Lin. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, so kawaii. Love these playful baby pandas. No need to include me in the drawing. :-)

ReplyDeleteCute..love pandas, need to add to my collection. I would probably name my panda popo..not sure why, first name that came to me when I saw these pandas
ReplyDeleteThese pandas are too cute! I would name a panda "Pandy", not very original I know but that's what my sister, who loves panda, always calls them and it just stuck.
ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely the cutest! If I had to name a panda, I think I would choose "Hugs" :)
ReplyDeleteThey are squishy cute! Love your bright card and the fun die.
ReplyDeleteLing Ling is a perfect panda name. I might be biased since its my chinese nickname. Another good one would be Nu Nu...thats my daughter's chinese nickname.
ReplyDeleteOmg adorable....... I would my panda kolohi lol
ReplyDeleteOMG Ling Ling and Po are so adorable!!! So this question kinda stumped me so I asked T what she would name her panda and she said Little Tinky cuz that's the name of the boy who gave her her own little panda doll. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute and adorable pair! Definitely a must have for me. :)
