Sakura Birthday

Wassup People!  It's Aloha Friday!  No work till Monday!!  Woo Hoo!  Can you tell I am happy its the weekend?!  Hope you have some fun things planned this weekend!

Before I tell you about my project, thought I'd remind you to hop on over to our Guest Designer's blog to see what other awesomeness she's created for you today.  Lysa is one talented mama!  Check her out here!

And don't forget our other DT members projects!

So I decided to try out one of our other Sakura set designs for this card.  I picked the sakura that perfectly coordinates with our Sakura-chan image.  These would be great to pop up in front of the Sakura-chan image as I did with the Momotaro card I shared yesterday.

Anyway, just wanted to keep this card simple by limiting the layering.   I love this sentiment set by Walter and Winnie- please check them out for some awesome sentiment sets!

I was hoping you could see in the photo but I colored up the stamens using gold smooch.

And to finish off the card, I went over it with some Spun Sugar distress ink and my blending tool.  Don't forget to check out our DT's projects!

  1. Love this! So simple, but really pretty. I must have this stamp set.

  2. That birthday card is soo pretty!! I love all the Sakura!! :)

  3. Pretty! I think I have to give in to Walter & Winnie.

  4. Oh, this is the kind of card I would make for my mom so she could use it for any occasion. I might have to give in to the W&W call too. Love this card!!

  5. This is such a pretty card! I love the Sakura flowers. The gold stamens add the perfect little touch.
