Meet Aurora!

Hey Everyone!  Back again with another introduction!  Today, I am pleased to introduce you to Aurora.
So, I know most of you thought this mermaid was named after Disney's Sleeping Beauty, but she really wasn't.  Aurora was named after my Sister's niece.  She lives in Italy and is sisters with Eliana.  My sister helped me to choose which mermaid to name after each girl, and she thought this one really matched Aurora.   I have yet to meet her in person, so I'll take my sister's word for it.

I'm having a blast playing with all of the mermaid's hair and fin colors!  It's so refreshing to not choose the typical, black, brown, red or blond hair.  This is my chance to play with more colors and I seem to be gravitating to the bright colors. The brighter the better!

I found my old Stampin up die that reminds me of a beach bag and thought that would be the perfect project for a mermaid. Since the paper was yellow, I decided to pick contrasting bright colors for her hair, the sentiment and her fin.  Went all out with the turquoise hair- never thought I'd like blue hair!

The sentiment is a custom laser cut by Island Scrapbooking.  Added on some coordinating red flowers.

And here's a better look at Aurora.

Oops!  Almost forgot about our blog candy!  You know the deal....

  12. I love the blue hair!! But it's apparent to me when I was trying to think of what color I'd want my hair that I'd never be able to decide on one color. I can't even settle on one color for my hair now. Mermaids are allowed to have much more imaginative colors than I am, so I think I'd maybe want rainbow hair with different layers different colors. That might be cool. LoL

  13. Oh Jenny, I saw peeks of these new mermaids a week ago and absolutely fell in love. Your basket featuring the bright and bubbly Aurora is just fantastic!

If I was a mermaid I think I would like sea green hair so that I could easily hide amidst the kelp. ;)

  14. Thanks for the chance to win.

I think I would like a deep teal, the kind that is more blue than green. Or really bright firery orange. :)

  15. Blue is great for a mermaid's hair... Green would be nice too. Since I already have red hair though, I'd stick with it if I were a mermaid :)
